The Apartment
The Guelfa apartment is located in a quiet area in Florence less than five minutes walking distance from the well-known Piazza San Lorenzo.
Crowded during the day as both visitors and residents mix in the two markets in the area (the outdoor market offers local artisan products and clothes while the older indoor market offers food products), at night the market stalls are gone and the Church of San Lorenzo with its famous Medici Chapels shines with majestic solemnity.
The apartment of 1290 square feet (120 squared meters) is on the first floor of a building without elevator. The apartment can comfortably host up to 7 people. It has three bedrooms with double beds (with the possibility to separate them to create two single beds) and each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is also small room that contains a very restored antique single sofa bed that can sleep on more person. However, as the sofa bed sleeps someone under 1,70 meters tall, a longer extra pull put single bed can be set up in one of the bedrooms if needed. The apartment can be used by smaller families or even a couple: we offer rates based upon the number of rooms/beds being used.
The apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen with all cooking pots and eating utensils needed for cooking at home, as well as an espresso coffee maker. The sitting room has a small balcony overlooking an internal courtyard garden.
Location
The apartment is located in the Santa Maria Novella district, one of the four historical districts in the center of Florence.
The main train and bus station is close by, as well as the Fortezza da Basso where the most important fairs and shows take place, including the fashion shows of Pitti Moda.
All of the main monuments and museums of the city are a short walking distance from the apartment. Therefore, Piazza Santa Maria Novella, the Duomo and Baptistery, the Accademia Gallery with David's Michelangelo, the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Medici Chapels and much more are all easily reached on foot in 5-10 minutes. Walking down the old streets of the historical center,you'll discover the most characteristic views of the city that famous artists from the Renaissance and the Medici family centuries ago left as the rich cultural heritage that all visitors to Florence today can enjoy.

The fully-equipped kitchen includes an American coffee machine, a toaster oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, oven and microwave oven. The apartment also includes a washing machine, making it very convenient to travel with less luggage than necessary since you can wash your clothes in the comfort of the apartment.
There is also an iron for ironing out your clothes. Guests have at their disposal a TV with DVD player and a hair dryer in the bathroom.
Rates also include towels and all the bed linen in the apartement, internet use, final cleaning charges, heating, water and eletricity.
